Sony Xperia M5 is finally coming to the UK almost five months after it was unveiled in several countries. Pre-order for the camera-centric smartphone has started.
Available in three colours, black, gold and white, Sony Xperia M5 can be pre-ordered on Carphone Warehouse and shipment will start on 8 February, according to XperiaBlog. However, the gold colour variant is exclusive to Carphone Warehouse.
The device is available only on 2 years contract and there are several plans to choose from. Price of the device starts from £14.99 per month with upfront payment of £129.99 on EE, £22 with no upfront on Vodafone, £39 on O2 with no upfront, and several other payment options.
Sony Xperia M5 sports a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 and 1080 x 1920 pixels (441 ppi pixel density), weighs 142.5 g and has a dimension of 145 x 72 x 7.6 mm.
Under the hood, it has Mediatek Helio X10 processor clocking 2.0GHZ, Android 5.0 Lollipop (expected to be upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshmallow), 16GB internal memory (expandable up to 200GB via microSD card), 3GB RAM, 21.5MP Exmore RS camera with f/2.2 and phase detection autofocus, 13MP front snapper with f/2.0 and non-removable Li-Ion 2600 mAh battery.
In terms of connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, hotspot, bluetooth v4.1, A2DP, LE, apt-X, GPS, NFC, FM radio with RDS, microUSB v2.0.
