Sony's much awaited mid-range Xperia M smartphone has finally set foot into the Indian market, two months after its global debut early June.
Spice Group owned online shop Saholic has begun selling Xperia M for ₹12,990, whereas another e-retailer Infibeam has opened its pre-booking window for the Sony smartphone for the same price and mentioned that it will begin sales on Monday (18 August).
Xperia M sports a scratch resistant 4.0-inch TFT screen with 854x480p display resolution and ships with Android v4.1 Jelly Bean OS out-of-the box.
In terms of internal hardware, it packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus dual-core processor which can top a CPU speed up to 1GHz and also boasts of Adreno 305 GPU with 1GB RAM and 4GB inbuilt memory. The memory can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.
The new Sony smartphone boasts of a 5.0-megapixel camera on the rear-side with LED flash support, auto-focus, Exmor RS camera sensor, HD 720p video recording with red-eye reduction feature. On the front-side, it flaunts a VGA camera.
Sony had globally unveiled the Xperia M on 4 June.
