Sony has released its mid-range smartphone Xperia E5 after weeks of speculations. The device has now been listed on the company's official website and comes with impressive specifications.
The Sony Xperia E5 sports a 5-inch HD display with 720x1,280 pixels (294 ppi pixel density), measures 144x69x8.2 mm in dimension and weighs 147g. It is powered by a Mediatek MTK6735 processor and runs Android Marshmallow operating system.
The handset comes packed with a 16GB internal memory, which is expandable up to 200GB via microSD card, 1.5GB RAM, 13MP main camera with Auto-Focus, HDR photo, Flash and Clear image zoom 3x, a 5MP front-snapper with Front flash, and a non-removable Li-Ion 2,700mAh battery.
In terms of connectivity, the Sony Xperia E5 supports Dual-SIM, NFC, Cat.4 LTE, Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, GPS, and microUSB v2.0.
The device will be available in two colours -- white and black. There are also reports that it will come with a price tag of €199 (around $220/Rs. 14,900).
