Photos of Sony smartphone, alleged to be of Xperia C6, have surfaced online revealing key design features.
Technology blog IT168 has got hold of the rose-gold variant of the Sony Xperia C6, which shows the device boasting near bezel-less display just like the predecessor C5 Ultra.
But going by the images, the Sony phone is small in stature indicating that it can be operated with just one hand and the device's screen-size will be around 5.5-inch or less, not 6.0-inch like we see in C5 Ultra. That said, we are not able to assess whether the device has full HD (1920x1080p) or HD (720x1280p) just from glancing at the photos. [Check out the Xperia C6 images, HERE]
The presence of circular solid metal key on the side has led us to believe that Xperia C6 will not be featuring finger-print sensor on the home button like the flagship Xperia Z5 series, which houses a long rectangular button with finger-impression engravings on it.
Rumour has it that Xperia C6 will feature MediaTek made Helio P10 Octa-core SoC (System on Chip). Other key details such as display resolution, camera, Android OS version, RAM, Storage and battery capacity are yet to be ascertained.
There is no official word on when Xperia C6 will be unveiled, but some media reports indicate it may be launched in the upcoming MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2016, Barcelona.
In a related development, Sony on Twitter has hinted that the company will pull the wraps off a new device on 12 January 2 am CET (6:30 pm IST). We believe that the company will either launch the new Xperia Z5 series colour variant or Xperia C6.
