The much-hyped Sony Xperia C5 Ultra has been launched in India. But it won't be a cakewalk for the device as there are several phablets in the market with reasonable prices. One of the devices that will give it a run for the money is Google Nexus 6.
Sony Xperia C5 Ultra comes with a price tag of Rs 29,990. It will have to take on the 42 GB version of the Motorola Nexus 6, which is now available for Rs 34,999 against its launch price of Rs 44,000.
Here is a specification comparison of the under Rs 35,000 devices to find out the one with superior features:
Display: Both the Sony Xperia C5 Ultra and Google Nexus 6 sport a 6.0-inch touchscreen (5.96-inch screen in Nexus 6 to be precise) but the latter has a better screen resolution with 493 ppi pixel density, compared to 367ppi pixel density seen in the former.
Processor: Google Nexus 6 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 clocking at 2.7 GHz, while Sony Xperia C5 Ultra has a MediaTek MT6752 processor.
Operating System: Both the devices run on Android 5.0 Lollipop. However, Nexus 6 is upgradable to 5.1.1 Lollipop.
Storage: Sony Xperia C5 Ultra comes packed with 16 GB internal storage expandable up to 200 GB and 2 GB RAM, and Nexus 6 has 32 GB internal memory (no microSD card slot) and 3 GB RAM.
Camera: Sony Xperia C5 Ultra has a much superior imaging facility with 13 MP rear and front cameras, compared to 13 MP main camera and 2 MP front snapper in Nexus 6.
Battery: The Nexus 6 has a powerful 3,220 mAh battery, while the Xperia C5 Ultra has only 2,930 mAh.
Conclusion: It is not very fair to compare the devices owing to the Rs 5,000 price difference, but Sony Xperia C5 Ultra can turn out to be a tough competitor with good storage and impressive selfie camera. However, the Nexus 6 is the winner with better display, processor and battery.
