Japanese consumer electronics giant Sony is reportedly planning to launch Xperia C5 Ultra in India on Wednesday.

The Indian arm of Sony Mobile (via Twitter) has teased a smartphone identical to the recently unveiled 6.0-inch C5 Ultra with tag "The Big Cosmic 5elfie, Tomorrow!", almost confirming that the company will indeed introduce the new selfie-centric camera smartphone on 26 August. Sony is also expected to reveal the price and release date of the device.

However, there is no word on when Sony will launch Xperia M5, which was originally unveiled along with C5 Ultra early this month.

Xperia C5 Ultra:

Like all Xperia C series, the new C5 Ultra is also a selfie-centric Sony smartphone. It boasts a 13mp front-camera with dedicated LED selfie-flash and also features 22 mm wide-angle lens with an 88 degree field of view, auto-focus, 4X digital zoom, full HD video recording, image stabilizer, Auto Scene Recognition, red-eye reduction and many more. On the back too, it houses the same 13mp snapper with same value-added features.

Other stipulated features include 6.0-inch full HD display, Android 5.1 Lollipop OS powered by MediaTek Octa-core SoC (System on Chip), 2GB RAM and a 2930 mAh battery, which can run the phone for close to 769 hour (almost 32 days) under standby mode.

Xperia M5:

For the uninitiated, it sports a 5.0-inch full HD display and is powered 2.0GHZ MediaTek Helio X10 processor, IMG Rogue G6200, 3GB RAM, 16GB storage, 2600 mAh battery, which is capable of running the phone for close to two days.

Key attributes of the Xperia M5 is that it comes with IP65/IP68 water-and-dust proof certifications, which means the users can use the phone underwater up to 1 meter (3 feet) for close to 30 minutes. It also boasts a feature-rich 21.5mp camera with Sony's new proprietary IMX230 CMOS sensor, which enables users to get 5x zoom with no perceptible loss in quality. It also features hybrid autofocus, f/2.2 aperture and fast autofocus (0.2 seconds), and 4K video recording capability. On the front, it comes packed with a 13mp snapper with auto-focus.
