The Indian arm of consumer electronics giant Sony has launched the much-awaited selfie-centric smartphone, Xperia C3, on Monday, 25 August.
As proclaimed by the company, the new Sony smartphone's main USP is its front-camera; it boasts of 5.0-megapixel wide-angle (25 mm with 80 degree field view) camera with soft LED flash.
This unique feature enables users to get perfect selfie at any lighting conditions. To further enrich the photography experience, Xperia C3 also comes packed with value-added features such as 'Superior Auto' mode, which automatically adjusts the camera to the surrounding environment's lighting conditions.
Another feature-rich application, 'Auto-scene', recognition software with the help of HDR and LED flash features enables users to capture good quality selfie in broad daylight or in dark enclosure.
Other value-added apps include Portrait Retouch v2.0, Timeshift Bursts, Picture Effects, Movie Creator, Social Live (users can broadcast live video via Facebook and other social networks) and Sweep Panorama.
Xperia C3 flaunts monster 5.5-inch HD TRILUMINOS display (with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 technology) and runs on the Android v4.4 KitKat OS out-of-the-box.
Under the hood, it packs 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor, Adreno 305, 8.0-megapixel camera on the rear-side and 2,500 mAh battery, which can run the phone for up to 24 hours talk-time and close to 1,071 hours under stand-by time.
The new Sony Xperia C3 will be made available on 1 September across all exclusive Sony Centres, Sony Smartphone Lounges and other major mobiles & electronics stores for ₹23,990 across India.
