Japanese electronics giant Sony, after releasing its high-end flagship smartphones Xperia Z and ZL last month, has now launched a mid-range based handset, Xperia SP, in India for ₹27,490.
Sony Xperia SP sports a 4.6-inch HD 1280x720p display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 technology and runs on Android mobile OS v4.1 Jelly Bean powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Pro based dual-core processor with 1.7GHz CPU speed.
The smartphone houses a 8.0-megapixel rear-side camera with exclusive Exmor mobile image sensor, 16x zoom, LED flash, 3D Sweep Panorama, Full HD video-recording and a secondary VGA camera on the front.
According to the reports, Sony Xperia SP will hit stores in mid-April with a price tag of ₹27,490 and it will be available in white and black colour variants.
Earlier, Sony had unveiled the Xperia SP along with another mid-range smartphone, Xperia L, in March.
