Japanese technology major Sony launched budget smartphone Xperia E4 Dual in India on Tuesday.
The new Sony handset was originally unveiled just a month ago and has been launched in India with a ₹12,490 price tag.
The new Xperia E4 Dual sports 5.0-inch qHD display and ships with the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS powered by the 1.3GHz MediaTek quad-core SoC (System on Chip). It is backed by 1GB RAM, 8GB inbuilt memory and a 2300 mAh battery which can keep the phone running for close to 696 hours under the standby mode.
It houses 5mp camera with full HD video recording ability and on the front, comes packed with 2mp snapper with HD video recording ability.
Competition:
At ₹12,490, the Xperia E4 Dual looks a little sub-par when compared with other domestic and Chinese brands in the subcontinent. Sony will have a tough time convincing shrewd Indian consumers, who are spoilt for choices with Micromax YU Yureka, Lenovo A6000, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G, and soon to be Xiaomi Redmi 2.
