Amid the flurry of reports on the alleged specs of Sony's camera centric Xperia i1 smartphone hitting the internet, a series of snapshots of the device has now emerged.
UK based technology blog Gadget Helpline has released the alleged pictures of the upcoming Sony Xperia i1 aka Honami prototype. Just like its high-end Xperia sibling, the phablet is seen to sport a glossy glass coat (probably shatter-proof shield) on both the display and its back panel.

The Xperia i1 smartphone is rumoured to sport a 5.0-inch full HD Triluminos display with X-Reality screen technology and runs on Android v4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS powered by a superfast 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 series quad-core processor with 2GB RAM and 16 GB inbuilt memory which can be expanded via microSD card.
The main USP of Sony Honami/Xperia i1 is its camera specifications. According to reports, it is expected to flaunt a 20.0-megapixel camera with Exmor RS image sensor technology, CMOS sensor, Sony's exclusive G-lens and an image processor 'BIONZ'. On the front side, it reported to sport a 2.0-megapixel Exmor R camera.
The Japanese technology major is rumoured to showcase this camera centric Xperia i1/Honami smartphone in September at the international technology trade fair, IFA (Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin) 2013 on 6 September. Sony's rival Samsung is also speculated to launch its new generation flagship phablet Galaxy Note 3 at the event.
