The makers of Ajay Devgn's upcoming movie "Sons of Sardaar" (Son of Sardaar 2) have released the first poster of the film. Although touted to be sequel to action-comedy "Son of Sardaar," "Sons of Sardaar" is based on a very serious plot.
Ajay revealed the poster of "Sons of Sardaar" on Twitter with the caption saying, "Unveiling @SonsOfSardaar My tribute to Warriors of Saragarhi: A tale of Rage, of Love, of Bravery. #SonsOfSardaar [sic]."
The movie is based on the famous battle of Saragarhi in 1897 that was fought between the British Indian Army, comprising Sikh soldiers, and the Afghan Orakzai tribesmen in North-West Frontier Province. The poster of "Sons of Sardaar" shows a battle field with three characters in the centre, surrounded by some corpses and fighting warriors. The poster appears to be water painted.
It is considered to be one of the most historic battles because a team of just 21 Sikhs stationed at an Army post were attacked by around 10,000 Afghans and the Sikh warriors chose to fight till their death.
While Ajay will play the main lead in the movie, reports had suggested that there will be four other lead characters too. There were also reports suggesting that Salman Khan will play a cameo in "Sons of Sardaar."
While "Sons of Sardaar" is slated to be released on Diwali 2017, Ajay will next be seen in another big project "Shivaay." Produced and directed by Ajay himself, "Shivaay" is an action-adventure film and also features Sayyeshaa Saigal. It will hit the screens on Oct. 28 this year.
Meanwhile, the poster of "Sons of Sardaar" has been receiving good response from fans on Twitter.
