The penultimate episode of "Sons of Anarchy," titled "Red Rose" did not air on Tuesday due to Thanksgiving, and it won't be wrong to say that fans are eagerly awaiting to see what Jax will do, now that he knows the truth about Tara's death.
At this point, Jax is completely devastated by that fact that his own mother was responsible for Tara's death. Jax is an emotional mess, but he still loves his mother, and towards the end of the previous episode, fans saw the president of SAMCRO breaking down. "How could she do this to Tara? How could she do this?" sobbed Jax.
"Red Rose" will feature the repercussion of Jax learning the truth about Gemma, who is on the run and seems to be getting help from Unser. He tells her that he doesn't know what Jax will do to her when he finally tracks her down.
As for Jax, his shock has turned into anger, and he speaks to Nero about Gemma. Nero warns the SAMCRO president from killing his mother, saying that murdering one's mother is something people can't get back from.
Meanwhile, it won't be wrong to say that Gemma is scared. Family has been the most important thing for Gemma all along, and she has gone to great lengths to protect her son and grandchildren. This protective streak is what prompted her to kill Tara, wrongly believing that her daughter-in-law was ratting out the club to the police.
"I wonder sometimes if Gemma really thought she could get away with all of this. I don't know! I don't think she has animosity towards her grandson whatsoever," Katey Sagal, who essays the role of Gemma, revealed during an interview with E! Online when asked if Gemma will take vengeance on Abel for telling the truth about Gemma. "It's gone so far that to me, either way is horrible. You will see the way it all pans out, but it's a tough call. But people do heinous things and still have lives. Oh yes, they do."
On what to expect in the finale, Sagal said that there will be a lot of tears and action.
"I'm excited for fans to see the conclusion. I feel like this season overall has been so strong in the character department. Not that there's not action. There's a lot of action. But there's also a lot of character conversation, slower beats, and the whole season has been a more fluid approach... I think it will be great for fans. I don't think they'll be disappointed at all," she added.
"Sons of Anarchy" season 7 episode 12 will air on 2 December.
