"Descendants of the Sun" actor Song Joong Ki has sparked speculation of a reunion with Song Hye Kyo after he opened up about his desire to act with her once again.
Concluding his Asia Tour in Taipei, Taiwan, on Saturday, Song Joong Ki reportedly said he would love to do another romantic drama with Song Hye Kyo, who played his on-screen romantic interest in the first season of the Korean military drama "Descendants of the Sun."
This has created quite a buzz, with several publications wondering at the possibility of the duo reuniting for the second season of "Descendants of the Sun." However, it seems unlikely, considering Song Joong Ki has already started filming for his new movie, "Battleship Island."
Song Hye Kyo, too, seems to be tied up with other projects. According to a recent report, the actress is currently trying to make a mark in Hollywood.
There is a lot of interest in the couple, considering recent reports state that their on-screen romance has spilled on to their real-life too. The duo is yet to comment on the nature of their relationship, which reportedly began while they were filming the drama.
Talking about his personal life in an earlier interview with Asia One, Joong Ki revealed that he has learned a lot about dating and wooing women from his "Descendants of the Sun" character Yoo Shi Jin. "I thought to myself, 'So this is what you have to do to make your girlfriend happy.' Our scriptwriter Kim Eun-sook made the character, and I understand why so many female viewers fell in love with him. He says things that women want to hear. If I were like him, I would have been much more popular."
Meanwhile, the upcoming season of "Descendants of the Sun" will focus on the relationship of Seo Dae-Young (Jin Goo) and Yoon Myeong-Joo (Kim Ji Won) and is expected to be aired in 2017. KBS is yet to make an official announcement regarding Season 2 of the military drama, but filming is believed to be underway.
