Even though Sonam Kapoor revealed her wedding plans while talking about her next project – Veerey Di Wedding – she doesn't seem to be ready to take the plunge yet. There have been rumours that the actress is all set to get married to boyfriend Anand Ahuja in 2017.
However, when Mumbai Mirror called to check if there was any truth to the news, Kapoor replied: "Huh, are you mad?" The speculations aren't unfounded; the word in Bollywood's inner circuit is that she is dating Ahuja and the man is a regular at Kapoor's family functions. Recently, he was spotted at the leading lady's cousin's wedding ceremony.
This comes months after Kapoor said she would like to get hitched without all the madness. For her running away with the special someone makes more sense than making a big deal out of the ceremony.
"You know it wouldn't be a bad idea to just elope and get married, it's less stressful but I know people who love celebrating, but actors we dress up so much after a certain point you just want to be easy and have fun," NDTV quoted her as saying. Kapoor said she would love to wear an ensemble designed by Anamika Khanna for her big day.
She may have the fashion part of it sorted, but doesn't seem to have much faith in the idea of marriage. While on Comedy Nights With Kapil, she had said how her father, Anil Kapoor, doesn't endorse the idea and is okay with her not getting married.
On the work front, Kapoor is gearing up for Veerey Di Wedding, Sanjay Dutt biopic and an as-yet-untitled R Balki project alongside Akshay Kumar.
