Filmfare is the most prestigious award in the Hindi film industry. However, there are a few promising actors who reached till the nominations, but haven't won the black lady as yet.
Here are B-Town superstars who have never won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor.
Akshay Kumar
Akshay Kumar is one of the ace actors in B-Town. Though the "Khiladi" star has received Filmfare for Best Actor in negative role for "Ajnabee" and comic role for "Garam Masala", he has not won the Best Actor of the year award as yet.
Sonam Kapoor
Sonam Kapoor made her debut in Bollywood with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Saawariya" and since then the actress has showed her acting skills in many movies. The fashionista surprised audience with her performance in "Raanjhanaa" and "Khoobsurat", but Sonam has not been honoured with the Filmfare Award for Best Actress till now.
Katrina Kaif
Katrina Kaif is one of the leading actresses in Bollywood today. The "Chikni Chameli" has come a long way in her career. From learning Hindi to getting trained in dance, Katrina really worked hard to make a mark in the film industry. But the talented actress is yet to win a Filmfare Award for Best Actress.
Govinda
Surprisingly, the great actor of all times, Govinda, has not been able to win a Filmfare Award for Best Actor during his years-long acting career. Though he received 12 Filmfare nominations over the years, he couldn't earn the Best Actor title. However, Chi Chi has won a special award for "Saajan Chale Sasural" and the best Comedian award for "Haseena Maan Jayegi".
Dharmendra
Dharmendra left everyone speechless when he received Filmfare Lifetime Achievement award in 1997. Though he has been nominated several times over the years, he hasn't won the Best Actor title.
When he received the black lady in 1997, he said, "I've longed for this Filmfare trophy for 37 years... but it always evaded me. Every year, I'd stitch a new suit and buy a matching tie in the hope that I'd be called to receive a trophy... then after a few years I gave up. I decided that I would attend the function wearing a T-shirt and shorts... ya kachcha pahen ke chala jaaonga (or I would just wear underwear)."
