BJP MLA Ram Kadam, on Friday, September 7, tweeted that Sonali Bendre has passed away after falling prey to the actress' death rumours that had been doing the rounds of social media for the past few days. Later, Kadam deleted his tweet after getting brutally slammed by the netizens and realising the fact that it was just a rumour.
After Kadam's social media blunder, Sonali Bendre's husband Goldie Behl has requested people to not hurt the sentiments of his family members who have been going through a turbulent phase. He also requested to use social media carefully and stop spreading rumours on a public platform.
"I appeal to all to please use social media more responsibly. Let us not believe in rumours and spread them, unnecessarily hurting the sentiments of those involved. Thank you," Goldie Behl tweeted.
The 42-year-old actress is currently undergoing treatment in New York. She has been putting up a brave fight against cancer which she discovered only after reaching a critical stage. Her husband Goldie Behl had also shared that she is responding well to the treament.
