Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha will not be a part of Apoorva Lakhia's "Haseena" anymore. The buzz is that Sonakshi, who was excited to portray the character of Dawood Ibrahim's sister, has not committed to the project yet.
It has been reported that the director needs around 30-40 days from Sonakshi at a stretch for his low-budget film. But it is difficult for the actress to give the dates "Haseena" demands. Also, the reports suggest that producer Mubina Rattonsey is currently busy with other projects.
"The producer has got busy with other projects, so now Apoorva, after getting the script registered in his name, will approach other producers. If Sonakshi's dates work out by then, she will do the film but if not, then another actress will have to be considered for the role," the Deccan Chronicle quoted a source as saying.
Earlier, the "Tevar" actress went on-record to show her excitement for the biopic of Haseena Parker. "It's a great script, a powerful role, a very intriguing story and an opportunity to play a character who is the polar opposite of me. I have always wanted to be a part of a biopic and this is the perfect one. It's going to be extremely challenging for me and I am looking forward to it," she had told the Times of India.
Dawood has 12 siblings and Haseena was the seventh one, who died in 2014 due to a heart attack. The film will portray her life's 40 years and will show what it is like to be a don's sister.
In other news, Sonakshi is currently shooting for Abhinay Deo's "Force 2" opposite John Abraham. She will also be seen in A.R. Murugadoss' "Akira," which is set to be released on Sep. 23. Additionally, it has been reported that the actress will star in a film based on Saba Imtiaz's popular novel "Karachi, You're Killing Me!" in which she will play a journalist named Noor.
