Yesteryear's Bollywood actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha, who is on his road to recovery after a major heart surgery earlier this month, is kept under full observation and a strict regime by daughter Sonakshi.
The 66-year-old veteran actor underwent a bypass heart surgery on July 16 after blockages were discovered in his coronary arteries. After being hospitalized for over a month in Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital, the actor was discharged last Sunday and was taken home by his family.
Shatrughan's health condition has considerably worried Sonakshi, who is now doing her best to make sure her father has a speedy recovery.
The actor is advised to take complete bed rest and to protect him from taking any unnecessary exertion, Sonakshi has kept her father in house arrest.
"I have been virtually put under house arrest by Sonakshi. She is keeping a strict watch over me...not allowing me to meet guests and taking care of my diet," Shatrughan told Press Trust of India.
Apparently, the actor has lost ample weight due to his illness and his doting daughter is personally taking care of his diet to help him regain strength and get back to being normal.
"She has switched off my mobile phones and allowing only limited access to the landline phone. But, I am not complaining as she is my darling daughter," he said.
Earlier in July, when the ailing actor was taken to the hospital for respiratory troubles, the actress had fervently tweeted, "Making mountains out of mole hills (baat ka batangadh) about someone's health is NOT cool. My father is hale and hearty and waiting for me at HOME and not in the icu as some people are claiming on tv right now. Thanks for the concern, but pls... KHAMOSH!!"
Getting away from the home front, Sonakshi's acting career is sky-rocketing with every new release of hers. The 25-year-old actress shot to fame with her first film "Dabangg", followed by record-breaking "Rowdy Rathore" in this year, opposite Akshay Kumar.
Presently, the actress is gearing up for her next release; film "Joker" on Aug 31.
