Dhaka, Oct 7 (ANI): Syed Haider Farooq Maudoodi, son of Syed Abul A'la Maudoodi who was founder of Jamaat-e-Islami has said that the religion-based party should not be allowed to continue politics in Bangladesh on the grounds that it opposed the country's birth. Syed Haider Farooq Maudoodi, who was brought up under fundamental ideologies of Syed Abul A'la Maududi, along with all his nine siblings said he has never been involved with Jamaat-e-Islami's politics. While addressing mediapersons in national capital, Dhaka, on his first visit there after the liberation war, Syed Haider Farooq Maudoodi, who is now a columnist in Lahore, Pakistan, slammed the concept of using religion in politics.
