Odisha, Jan 14 (ANI): A fisherman was shot dead in an exchange of fire with a patrol squad in the prohibited area in Kendrapara district of Odisha, said police. The squad had spotted over 150 fishermen in more than 15 trawlers fishing in the Gahirmatha Marine Sanctuary in sea waters. Fishermen allegedly opened fire at the government officials leading to encounter. The deceased has been identified as SK Akbar (19).
