There is some bad news for fans of tactical military shooter games as developer CI Games has said that their upcoming game, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3, will be delayed by a few months.
An executive decision was taken to delay the game that was otherwise expected to be out sometime in the beginning of the 2017.
During TwitchCon, the demo version of the game was available for players to try out.
"We're making an ambitious game and unfortunately still need an extra few months to make sure it will stand up to the expectations of the fans," Marek Tyminski, CI Games CEO, was quoted as saying by Gameranx.
Tyminski also said that their goal is to have the game "run smoothly" on all platforms and they are working on "optimising the game." He noted that the whole team is "working really hard" and to make the entire game experience "more polished."
"I really hope everyone will understand our decision and will wait the extra time to play something we're excited about, and that will redefine our IP and the sniping genre as a whole. This is a new beginning for the Sniper: Ghost Warrior series," he added.
Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 is a tactical military shooter game where players are in a civil war in Northern Georgia, near the Russian border. Players will play as US sniper, who is expected to defend their territory.
Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 is now expected to be released in April 2017 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
