Here's some good news. The price for Samsung's 2013 flagship smartphone Galaxy S4 has been slashed in India. The handset now costs ₹17,999, which is ₹3501 less than the MRP of ₹21,900. This is an official price cut made by Samsung and the company has relayed the new pricing structure to both online and brick-and-mortar retailers across India, reported NDTV Gadgets.
The changes have already begun reflecting on the e-commerce site, Amazon India. It has listed Galaxy S4 (GT-I9500) black model at the aforementioned price and in its bid to further sweeten the deal, has promised to give-away ₹1,000 worth gift card on purchase of the Samsung phone.
The news comes close on the heels of the reports confirming Android Lollipop OS update being released to Galaxy S4 in India. Many, who were doubtful over buying the two-year old Samsung phone, now have a reason to get their hands on it.
