Czech automaker Skoda is reportedly gearing up to launch its Yeti facelift in India on 10 September, according to an automobile website.
Yeti Facelift, which made numerous appearances on the cyber space through spy shots and reports will be reaching the Indian shores on 10 September, reported Autocar India. We don't have much details about the upcoming Yeti Facelift; however, rumours are rife that the Czech automaker will be bringing the outdoor variant of the car soon. In the international markets, it is offered in outdoor and style variants.
Under the hood, the new avatar of Yeti is likely to carry the same 2.0 litre diesel engine, which features in the current Yeti, and is also likely to continue having two states of tune - 110 PS at 4,200 rpm and 140 PS at 4,200 rpm. The 110 PS variant is tuned to make 250 Nm of torque and is likely to get a five-speed manual gearbox, while the 140 PS variant pumps in 320 Nm of torque and is expected to come mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. There are also rumours that Yeti facelift will get DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox).
Talking about the makeover, the new Yeti facelift is likely to get changes both inside and outside. From the images we have seen before, the Yeti facelift is likely to flaunt a reworked front fascia with wider grille and headlights. The rear end profile of the car is also expected to receive the changes. Other speculated features of new Yeti include a new logo of Skoda, keyless entry and go system, electrically adjustable driver's seat, cruise control and rear view camera. It is expected to fall in the price range of ₹15.19 lakh to ₹18.91 lakh.
In India, Skoda is also expected to launch a flagship seven-seater SUV and a new edition of Skoda Rapid in the coming months. From what we know so far, the new SUV is likely to be around 4.6 meters in length, and is likely to be pegged against Toyota Fortuner and Hyundai Santa Fe. On the other hand, the new avatar of Rapid is likely to be powered by a 104bhp 1.5-litre diesel engine.
