Czech automaker Skoda teased its upcoming Skoda Rapid variant again, hinting that the next offering from the VW Group owned company is a 'Spaceback'.
The new images posted on the company's Facebook Fan page showed the stylish design adapted for the new variant. Rumours about Skoda's next Rapid model have been doing the rounds for a while. Although Skoda has been teasing the images of its upcoming car, the exact look of the car has been kept in the dark.
The latest photos, which have a message that reads - "Big news ahead in just a few days" - have given a clearer view of the new model.
Rapid Spaceback will be an estate variant of Rapid which would fit between the Fabia estate and the Octavia estate. Under the hood, the car is likely to pack 1.2 TSI petrol engine. It is expected to make its debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
Meanwhile, Skoda is also working on its next generation Skoda Superb. According to Jozef Kaban, chief designer of Skoda, the company is in a tryst to meet the needs of all kinds of people through its next Skoda Superb.
"It has to appeal to families, to the rich in money and also the rich in other things, but has to be classless. And you'll see it soon," Auto Express quoted Kaban as saying.
