Czech automaker Skoda's new Rapid has made yet another appearance online through spyshots, hinting at the imminent arrival of the model in India. Skoda has been testing the new facelifted avatar of the Rapid for a while now.
The latest batch of spyshots come from Team BHP and it shows the front and rear end of the model. The Skoda Rapid facelift is expected to be launched in India during the festive season this year. Judging from the images, Skoda Rapid is expected to boast changes like new fog lights, projector head lamps and new front grille.
The Rapid facelift is expected to get new dual-tone seat fabrics and features like upgraded infotainment system with Mirrorlink, Climatronic-automatic AC with dust & pollen filter, front centre armrest, rear AC vents and electrically adjustable OVRMs.
Mechanically, the Rapid facelift is expected to remain unchanged. While the 1.6 MPI petrol mill currently develops 103bhp and 153Nm of torque, the 1.5 TDI diesel mill will churn out the same power as the petrol unit with higher torque of 250Nm. The transmission in the petrol variant is taken care of by five-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmission and five-speed manual and seven-speed automatic transmissions in diesel models.
As for pricing, expect the Rapid in its new avatar to be priced at about Rs. 8.3 lakh.
