The trailer of the Selvaraghavan-directed Nenjam Marappathillai was unveiled at 6 pm on Friday, November 4. The Tamil movie features director-turned-actor SJ Surya playing the protagonist, with Regina Cassandra and Nandita Swetha starring in the female lead roles.
The video clip showcases some interesting moments from the movie, and gives an outline of the story, while introducing the main characters. The trailer has a good presentation and SJ Surya's performance remains the biggest highlight of the clip.
The video gives an indication of the film being a psycho-thriller and Yuvan Shankar Raja's background score adds huge value to the trailer of Nenjam Marappathillai.
Nenjam Marappathillai is produced by filmmaker Gautham Menon under the banner of Ondraga Entertainments and distributed by Madhan of Escape Artist Motion Pictures.
The movie marks the reunion of Selvaraghavan with Yuvan Shankar Raja. The duo have given many hit albums in the past, including 7G Rainbow Colony and Pudhupettai. In fact, the music director remained the first choice until Yaaradi Nee Mohini.
Selvaraghavan and Yuvan Shankar Raja parted ways following some differences. However, they have now sorted out the issues between them and have collaborated for Nenjam Marappathillai, which has turned out to be one of the attractions of the film.
Also, it is the first time in Kollywood that three prominent filmmakers (SJ Surya, Gautham Menon and Selvaraghavan) are teaming up in different roles of actor, producer and director.
The shooting of Nenjam Marappathillai has been completed and the team is now busy with its post-production works. The movie was supposed to be released in November. But the makers are yet to confirm the news.
