Anushka Shetty and Arya's "Size Zero", which will release in theatres on 27 November, is set to clash with two other new Telugu releases like "Tanu Nenu" and "Affair" at the box office.
"Size Zero" is a romantic comedy film, which has been simultaneously made in Tamil as "Inji Iduppazhagi". Written by director Raghavendra Rao's daughter Kanika Dhillon, the movie is about the love story of an obese girl, who is struggling to get married but weighed down by her weight. The film has an underlying message dealt with in a subtle and funny way.
Anushka Shetty has played the fat girl in "Size Zero" and she has put in lot of effort to get into the skin of her character. She has gained extra weight of 20 kgs for her role in the movie. Arya as Abhi, Sonal Chauhan, Prakash Raj, Urvashi, Pavani Gangireddy, Brahmanandam, Gollapudi Maruti Rao, Master Bharath are in the supporting cast.
"Size Zero" has been directed by Prakash Kovelamudi and produced by Prasad V Potluri under the banner PVP Cinema. MM Keeravani has composed music for the soundtrack of the film, which has already impressed the audiences. Nirav Shah has cranked the camera for the movie. Its promos have created lot of curiosity among the film goers.
Made on a whopping budget, "Size Zero" is set to release in over 500 cinema halls around the world. This female-centric film is expected to be the hat-trick success for actress Anushka Shetty, who has scored two blockbuster hits like "Baahubali" and "Rudramadevi" earlier this year. But it is facing a threat from "Tanu Nenu" and "Affair".
"Tanu Nenu" is also a much-hyped and highly promoted romance drama film starring Santhosh Shobhan, Avika Gor and Ravi Babu in the leads. Ram Mohan P, who has earlier produced "Ashta Chamma", "Golconda High School" and "Uyyala Jampala", has directed and produced this movie under his banner Sun Shine Cinemas. It is slated to release in over 250 theatres this Friday.
