The makers of the Tamil film, "Remo" have made a surprise announcement, revealing the release date of their forthcoming movie. Well, the much-hyped flick will hit the screens on October 7.
Production house 24 Studios announced the news on Twitter and wrote, "#REMO worldwide release on 7th october,2016. Pooja Holidays. [sic]" The movie is going to get the four-day Navarathri holiday weekend which is expected to boost the collections of the film.
However, it has to be seen whether they will stick to the said date as many films fail to release on time. The recent example is Rajinikanth's "Kabali," which was postponed a few times before locking in on July 22 as the D day.
"Remo" has been written and directed by Bhagyaraj Kannan. Keerthy Suresh, who is currently busy with Ilayathalapathy Vijay's next movie, is pairing up with Sivakarthikeyan. It may be recalled that their chemistry had worked well in their previous flick, "Rajini Murugan." Sathish Krishnan, KV Ravikumar, Anson Paul and many others are in the cast.
It is a romantic-comedy movie, which is being made with a budget of Rs. 35 crore. The shooting of the upcoming Tamil film has been completed and dubbing works are underway.
The audio of the movie is yet to be released and it is expected to be out next month. A single was released earlier this month and the Vignesh Shivan-penned track received a good response.
Also, the first look of the movie was released in June and it won appreciation from the audience. Sivakarthikeyan was seen as a nurse in the poster.
