"Maan Karate" will be the first big summer release of 2014 and will be releasing in around 650 screens worldwide.
The Siva starrer is expected to release in around 350 screens in Tamil Nadu, whereas it will be shown in about 50 screens each in Kerala and Karnataka. It is also expected to be screened in about 30 to 35 screens in Mumbai and the rest of India. The film's overseas screen count is expected to be around 160 to 180 screens, reported Sify.
The advance booking for the film has opened in several theatres and it is receiving good response from fans. The post production work is completely done and overseas content has been dispatched.
The film will reportedly have premier shows in key foreign markets such as the US, GCC and Canada.
"Maan Karate" is expected to take a fantastic opening in its first weekend. The summer holiday season is likely to work in the film's favour and help in fetch good collections at the box office.
Expectations are high for "Maan Karate," thanks to the film's first look posters, songs, teasers and trailer which have fetched good reception from fans. Sivakarthikeyan-Hansika's chemistry has struck a chord and is said to be one of the highlights of the film.
"Maan Karate," deemed as a fantasy entertainer, is directed by debutante Thirukumaran, a former associate of AR Murugadoss. The film has Soori, Vamsi Krishna and Sathish in supporting roles.
Anirudh has worked on the sound tracks and cinematography is handled by Sukumar, whereas editing is done by Aswin. P Madhan of Escape Artists Motion Pictures has produced the film.
