The Kerala police have said that they have identified the murderer of elderly nun Sister Amala last week, a section of media reported on Wednesday. The suspect, Satheesh Babu, hails from Kasaragod district.
The police are searching for Satheesh who is still at large. They have also reportedly detained three others with whom the accused had talked over phone last week.
The 69-year-old Catholic nun was found dead at Lisseux Carmelite Convent in Palai, Kottayam on 17 September.
Earlier, Kottayam-based man Nasar had surrendered at the Mahe police station claiming that he had killed the nun. However, he was released after the police found him mentally unstable.
