"Singham Returns" is directed by Rohit Shetty and the director has also co-produced the film along with Reliance Entertainment and Ajay Devgn Films.
The action entertainer is a sequel to 2011-release "Singham", which set the cash registers ringing. Thanks to the success of "Singham", expectations are high for the sequel, in which Devgn returns to reprise the role of the tough cop named Bajrao Singham. He will be playing the role of Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mumbai, while Kapoor has replaced Kajal Aggarwal.
The first looks, motion posters and the trailer have generated a lot of hype about "Singham Returns." Whether the film will strike gold at the box office in the lines of "Singham" is something one needs to wait and watch.
"Singham Returns" is slated to hit the screens on 15 August. The film will have a solo release as no other Hindi biggies are reportedly planned for Independence Day. However, the action entertainer will be clashing with big films from other languages including Tamil actor Suriya's "Anjaan." For those who didn't know, Devgn's blockbuster film "Singham" was a remake of Suriya's Tamil film of the same name.
