Akshay Kumar's "Singh Is Bliing" (Singh Is Bling) has crossed Rs 100 crore mark at the worldwide box office in eight-day.
The masala entertainer has earned more than Rs 79 crore at the domestic box office, while in its first week it minted more than Rs 22 crore, as per early estimate.
"Singh Is Bliing" (Singh Is Bling) is Akshay's fourth film to enter the Rs 100 crore club at the worldwide box office. Akshay's "Baby", "Gabbar Is Back" and "Brothers" made it into the Rs 100 crore club at the worldwide box office. But it remains to be seen whether Akshay's last film of the year will enter the Rs 100 crore at the domestic box office.
The box office collection of "Singh Is Bliing" (Singh Is Bling) has declined in its second week. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's "Jazbaa" has affected the box office collection of Akshay's film. However, "Singh Is Bliing" will have a decent second weekend at the box office.
Meanwhile, the makers of the film are happy with the response "Singh Is Bliing" has received at the box office and now they are planning to make a sequel of the film.
"I am planning a sequel for 'Singh Is Bliing' as people have loved the character of Raftaar Singh. So yes, we will definitely take the character forward provided we get a good script," Catch News quoted "Singh Is Bliing" producer Ashvini Yardi as saying.
Directed by Prabhudeva, the film features an ensemble cast, including Akshay, Amy Jackson, Kay Kay Menon, Lara Datta, Pradeep Rawat, Anil Mange, Rati Agnihotri, Yograj Singh and Kunal Kapoor among others.
Note: The box office numbers are just estimated figures and the actual numbers will be updated soon.
