Rohit Shetty's Simmba (Simba) starring Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan and Sonu Sood is set to be released this Friday, and is expected to have an excellent start at the box office.
The movie Simmba has a lot of reasons to have a thunderous opening at the box office with record breaking collection. First it has been directed by Rohit, whose has a good track record of delivering box office hit movies. His films like Chennai Express, Golmaal Again, Singham Returns had opening day box office collection of over Rs 30 crore.
Secondly, Simmba features Ranveer, who has been having a gala time with his films. After the success of Padmaavat, his goodwill has increased manifolds. Also, Sara recently had a successful debut, and has already generated huge fan base.
Simmba is a mass entertainer, and is likely to pull both single screen as well as multiplex audience. Although it is a remake of South film Temper, the movie has a good hype around it, and the promotions are also going on full swing.
Also, Shah Rukh Khan's Zero having been failed to make much of an impact at the box office, Simmba is the next big thing. Zero's average performance at the commercial circuits would help Simmba earn more screens. Advance booking of the film has also started on a good note.
Considering all these factors, Simmba is expected to make a box office collection of around Rs 25 crore (approximately) at the domestic market on day 1.
In Simmba, Ranveer plays the role of a corrupt cop, whose conscience wakes up after he faces an emotional tragedy. Sara plays the character of his love interest, and Sonu Sood is the antagonist.
