Here is some exciting news for both Simbu and Dhanush fans.
The trailer of Simbu's much-delayed "Vaalu" is all set to be released along with Dhanush's "Velai Illa Pattadhaari" (VIP) on 18 July.
"VIP" will have a wide release across Tamil Nadu and so the makers of "Vaalu" have decided to release the film's theatrical trailer along with it, reported Sify.
It will be a double treat for Simbu and Dhanush fans as they will get a chance to witness the release of their favourite stars' new film and the trailer on the same day.
"Vaalu", which went on floors in 2012, had been delayed due to financial issues. But the film's team completed the shooting in May 2014, and the post production work is going on in full swing.
There have been reports claiming that "Vaalu" will be hitting screens in August. Buzz is that the film might be locking horns with Suriya's "Anjaan", which is slated to release on 15 August. But, "Vaalu" makers are yet to announce the film's release date officially.
Directed by debutant Vijay Chander, "Vaalu" is touted to be a complete family entertainer. The film has Simbu, Hansika, Santhanam, VTV Ganesh and "Aadukalam" Naren in pivotal roles. The film's music composed by Thaman has already turned out to be big hits.
Earlier in February, a single song teaser from the film was released on the special occasion of Valentine's Day. Interestingly, "VIP" audio was also launched on the same day. "Vaalu" single titled "Love Endravan" as well as "VIP" songs were received well by the fans.
It will be interesting to see how "Vaalu" trailer will be received by the audience when it comes along with "VIP." Despite the delay in the film's release, the Simbu starrer carries positive buzz and is expected to take a good opening upon its release.
"Vaalu" cinematography is helmed by Shakthi and editing is done by T.S. Suresh. S. S. Chakravarthy of Nic Arts has produced the Simbu starrer.
In 2013, Simbu did not have any release and he just appeared in a cameo in Santhanam's "Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya." He also starred in a guest role in this year's "Inga Enna Solludhu," starring VTV Ganesh.
If everything goes well, Simbu as a lead hero will be have two releases in 2014. Besides "Vaalu", the actor's upcoming film "Idhu Namma Aalu" is also gearing up to hit the screens. The film, directed by Pandiraj, has Simbu's ex-flame Nayanthara playing the female lead. The romantic comedy entertainer is likely to release this year. Simbu also has a film with director Gautham Menon, who gave the actor one of the best films ("Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya") in his career.
