Over the years, Simbu's movies have not released on time for some reason or the other. His latest film "Idhu Namma Aalu" is also facing the same issue as the Tamil film will be delayed by a few weeks.
"Idhu Namma Aalu" was supposed to be released on 12 February as a Valentine's Day (14 February) treat for the Kollywood audience. But the movie has been postponed by at least two weeks. As per director Pandiraj, the film will either release in the last week of February or the first week of March.
The post-production works are going on in full swing and the re-recording of the first half has already been completed by the team. However, one song of the film is yet to be shot and the makers are eagerly waiting for Nayantara's dates to wrap up the shooting. This is reportedly causing the delay in the release, say reports.
Pandiraj has confirmed that the final song is yet to be shot but he does not want to blame her as the team wasted Nayantara's dates. She had also allotted dates earlier, but due to some reasons the shooting could not be completed. Meanwhile, Simbu wants the song to be shot on a different actress but the final call is yet to be taken.
"Idhu Namma Aalu" will be a special movie for Simbu and Nayantara's fans as the ex-couple has collaborated for the first time after breaking up several years ago. The credit for bringing them together undoubtedly goes to Pandiraj, who convinced them to join hands again. The audience are curiously looking forward to the release to see how their chemistry has worked this time.
It is a romantic-comedy that has Andrea Jeremiah, Soori, Arjunan, Jayaprakash, Madhusudhan Rao and others in the cast. It has Kuralarasan's music, Balasubramaniam's cinematography and Praveen KL's editing.
