Simbu is in deep trouble over his controversial beep song, and Anirudh Ravichander also finds himself embroiled in the row. The police have taken up the issue very seriously and seem to have taken an extreme step to catch the actor.
Who are Behind Simbu-Anirudh's Leaked Song? Two Tamil Actors, say rumours
According to The Times of India, the cops have sent alert notices to major airports against Simbu to prevent the actor from fleeing out of the country. This is generally done for 'most wanted criminals' and not for those, who are not regular offenders.
Reports state that the main reason behind the police taking such a step is Simbu and Anirudh's failure to appear before the cops in either Chennai or Coimbatore, where separate cases have been lodged against them under various sections of the IPC for Indecent Representation of Women Act and the IT Act for uploading offensive material.
Apart from this, Simbu's anticipatory bail plea has been rejected by the Madras High Court, which has extended his date for his appearance from 2 January to 5 January. If this was not enough, the government has also opposed his bail's plea. Simbu, who is also known as STR, is missing ever since the controversy broke out.
Simbu and Anirudh Ravichander are said to be part of the controversial song which has been written, composed and sung by them. It was a private number limited to their friends group and was composed two years ago. But it was leaked by some miscreants, putting the duo in trouble.
However, as per Simbu, the original song has been modified and miscreants have added cuss words in the lyrics of the track.
