Simbu has tried to put an end to his 'beep song' controversy with Anirudh Ravichander. After receiving severe criticism for the cuss words used in the track, he has attempted to put an end to the drama.
On behalf of Simbu, the administrator of his Twitter account posted, "We have other important issues to work on right now, as in flood relief & others. Hence Keeping an end to the whole drama. DOT"
As per the reports, the beep song was composed by Simbu and Anirudh Ravichander two years ago. The song was not meant to be released publicly, rather it was strictly restricted to Simbu and Anirudh's friend circle. But someone from their close circle leaked the song online, which resulted in a major controversy.
Sources close to Simbu feel that, the song is not worth debating and people were making a mountain out of a molehill for song, which has not been officially endorsed by either Simbu or Anirudh.
The controversy is an attempt to damage the reputation and public image of the actor-music director duo.
The audio track, which is referred as the "beep song" and begins with the lines "Enna P*******Ku love panrom", has gone viral on the internet. It has recieved mixed reviews from the audience. People have condemned both the men stating reasons that, they (Simbu and Anirudh) have insulted women by making sexist comments in the song.
Coimbatore police have registered a case against the duo on Saturday. The All India Democractic Women's Association (AIDWA) filed a complaint with the police seeking strict action against them for composing a song, which disrespects women, according to The Hindu.
