For sometime now, rumours have been doing the rounds of Katrina Kaif and Bollywood hunk Sidharth Malhotra being paired opposite each other in an upcoming project.
It has now been revealed that two good-looking actors have been roped in to play the lead role in Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar's next production venture under the banner Excel Entertainment.
"We've cast Katrina and Siddharth in Nitya's film. Both the actors have very unusual roles in the film. It's important to try out new pairs and permutations, as these work to make audiences curious about a film." Farhan told DNA.
This is the first time both Sidharth and Katrina has been paired opposite each other.
To be directed by debutant Nitya Mehra, the untitled film is a love story with a 'unique concept' and will see teh lead actors Sidharth and Katrina romancing each other.
With the two good-looking actors sharing the screen space for the first time, no wonder it would be visual treat for fans.
Nitya was assistant director with Excel Entertainment and has earlier worked in "Don" and "Lakshya".
Interestingly, before Sidharth, Aamir Khan was approached to play the lead. Although Aamir liked the script and wanted to be a part of it, the deal didn't work.
Meanwhile, the leggy lass is busy shooting for Abhishek Kapoor's "Fitoor" opposite Aditya Roy Kapur and will next be seen in Anurag Basu's detective thriller "Jagga Jassoos" along with beau Ranbir Kapoor.
Sidharth Malhotra, on the other hand is busy with Dharma Productions next "Brothers" alongside Akshay Kumar. "Brothers" is the remake of the Hollywood flick "Warrior".
