Bollywood actor Sidharth Malhotra has recently impressed fans with his performance in "Kapoor and Sons" and now, the actor is going through several scripts. Though Sidharth has not signed any, he is interested in doing a desi comedy film.
"I have been reading a few scripts and there's one film I have been offered and I quite like it," DNA quoted the actor as saying. "It's actually a desi comedy where I will get to go back to my roots in Delhi and play a proper Delhi-wallah," he added.
It will be interesting to see Sidharth playing a different character as he is mostly seen in romantic and action flicks. Meanwhile, the actor is busy shooting Nitya Mehra's "Baar Baar Dekho" opposite Katrina Kaif.
Scheduled for a Sept. 9 release, the film is being marketed as a unique love story stretched across decades. Sidharth and Katrina will be playing ages 30 to 60, with the help of some prosthetics, of course. The team was in Glasgow, Scotland, last year to shoot some portions of the romantic drama.
Sidharth will also be seen in an action film alongside Jacqueline Fernandez. Earlier, it had been reported that the upcoming film will be the sequel of Hrithik Roshan's "Bang Bang." However, the handsome hunk recently said that the film has nothing to do with the first part.
"It is an action film with Fox, so let's see if they plan to make it a part of 'Bang Bang' franchise or no. But I promise you that the story has nothing to do with 'Bang Bang'," he told Catch News. "I have actually started training for the film. I am training in hand to hand combat and martial arts so I am trying to pick up a different sport to hit people," Sidharth further elaborated.
