After raising the curiosity of music lovers with the teaser of "Sau Aasmaan" song from upcoming film "Baar Baar Dekho," the makers have now released the full song. The track features lead actors Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif and is crooned by Armaan Malik and Neeti Mohan. Amaal Mallik has composed the music of "Sau Aasmaan," which is a soulful yet peppy number and will make the listeners groove to it.
The Malik brothers Armaan and Amaal, in an exclusive chat with International Business Times India, spoke about singing and composing the song. "'Sau Aasmaan' is a romantic dance song. It's a duet with Neeti. I have a lot of duets with Neeti. It has got dance beats happening," Armaan said.
Amaal, who has composed some melodious songs like "Sooraj Dooba Hai," "Bol Do Na Zara" and others, believes that "Sau Aasmaan" is his best song this year. "My song in 'Baar Baar Dekho' which is called 'Sau Aasmaan,' is an out-an-out romantic song. It is not a typical Bollywood romantic song but it has that energy that will make you dance also. 'Sau Aasmaan' is fused with country music, electronic element and it's an upbeat romantic song," Amaal continued.
Grateful for getting the opportunity to work with a debutant director like Nitya Mehra, the music composer said that Nitya has clarity about what she wants from the music composer and that makes things easier for him. "I would like to give credit to two people one is Azim Dayani, who is the supervisor at dharma production, and Nitya Mehra, my director, they both along with me worked very hard on creating the sound of the song. 'Sau Aasmaan' is the brainchild of me, Azim and Nitya. Nitya was so clear and so chilled out and I can say she is my most favourite director that I have ever worked with," he said.
The "Sau Aasmaan" video has lead pair – Sidharth and Katrina – romancing in the exotic locales in Thailand and is expected to rule the music charts like previous song "Kaala Chashma" did. Directed by Nitya Mehra, "Baar Baar Dekho" is slated to hit theatres on Sept.9.
