Actor-director Sidharth Bharathan, who had suffered serious injuries in a car accident on 12 September, has walked back to normal life.
The actor, son of late legendary filmmaker Bharathan and veteran actress KPAC Lalitha, will be discharged from Medical Trust hospital in Kochi on Friday, 2 October.
After the accident, Sidharth appeared before the media along with his mother, hospital MD PV Antony and his doctors on Thursday.
Lalitha, who burst into tears during the press meet, thanked all the well-wishers who helped and prayed for the speedy recovery of his son.
Sidharth also spoke during the press meet and said he survived only due to God's grace.
Doctors informed that Sidharth's body positively responded to the treatment and can now walk with support. He had also undergone couple of surgeries as the accident had resulted in internal bleeding in his brain.
The fatal accident happened at around 2 am in Thaikoodam near Vytilla after his car crashed into a roadside wall, while Sidharth was on his way home after discussing about his upcoming project.
Sidharth, who began his career as an actor in Kamal's "Nammal" with Jishnu Raghavan in 2002 has appeared in many other films. It was in 2012, he turned director for the film "Nidra", which was a remake of his father's 1981 film with the same name.
His last directorial venture was Dileep-starrer "Chandrettan Evideya", which became a box office success.
