Actor-turned-director Sidharth Bharathan met with an accident in the early hours of 12 September. He has been admitted to Medical Trust Hospital in Kochi and is said to have sustained serious head injuries.
The mishap took place at 2 am on Saturday at Thykoodam near Vyttila, after his car crashed into a roadside wall. Sources from the hospital revealed that the actor is in critical condition as there is internal bleeding in his brain.
Update: Actors Mammootty, Dileep visited Sidharth in the hospital. Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala reportedly enquired the hospital authorities about his health condition.

Sidharth, son of late filmmaker Bharathan and actress KPAC Lalitha made his acting debut in Kamal's film "Nammal" in 2002. Later, he became part of many films and turned filmmaker by remaking his father's 1981 film "Nidra". The remade version had Sidharth and Rima Kallingal in the lead roles.
His last directorial was Dileep-Namitha Pramod-Anusree starrer "Chandrettan Evideya".
Sidharth, who was married to Anju M Das, got divorced on 27 October, 2013 after four years of marriage.
