Pin-up boy of television Siddharth Shukla's claim to fame "Balika Vadhu" is slipping away from his hands. While some say it is because of his unprofessionalism, the actor rubbishes rumours saying Shiv's (the character he plays in the daily soap) role was nearing an end.
According to a Bollywood Life source, Siddharth had turned pricey after signing the three-film deal with Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. The insider also revealed how he would change scripts, delay shoots and disappear from the sets to smoke.
However, the actor claims none of it is true and that it was only because his role had come to end he had to leave the show. "None of these rumours are true. If that was the case then why would I be saying all this? I would have left the show long back. None of these rumours are true; in fact, I was shooting with them till about 10 last night. It's not right for this source of yours to spread rumours like this. Your source cannot open his mouth and say whatever he wishes to," BL quoted him as saying.
Interestingly, the online portal's source also said that a joint complaint lodged by Siddharth's co-actors from the TV serial with the production house made him make an unceremonious exit.
In other news, "Balika Vadhu" will reportedly take a leap wherein Shiv will die, after which Anandi will deliver twins. The show, which has been running for eight straight years, was supposed to go off-air but looks like with the leap the makers will have fresh and interesting content for the viewers.
Siddharth was last seen in Shashank Khaitan's debut film "Humpy Sharma ki Dulhania" alongside Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan. His portrayal of an ideal NRI suitor was appreciated by his fans.
