Popular television actress Shweta Tiwari, who rose to popularity with Kasautii Zindagi Kay, has become the latest victim of celebrity death hoax.
The false news spread like wildfire after a fan page of another actress Sakshi Tanwar, popular for her shows Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii and Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, posted a condolence message for Shweta on Facebook, the Times of India reported.
"I feel very sad and shocked on knowing that Shweta Tiwari (Prerna) of Kasautii Zindagi Kay lost the battle with life and is no more. RIP Shweta. Balaji Telefilms and the whole team will miss you...," the post read.
However, turns out Shweta is hale and hearty and is busy taking care of her five-month-old son, Shweta's husband Abhinav Kohli clarified to the media.
Shweta, who was last seen in Begusarai, delivered her first child with second husband Abhinav in December last year. She married Abhinav in July 2013. The beautiful actress has a 15-year-old daughter, Palak, from her first marriage.
Celebrity death hoax is not new to the industry. Earlier, Bollywood celebs including Farida Jalal, Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Yo Yo Honey Singh, Shivaji Satam and many others had fallen victims of hoax.
However, with such false news about Shweta, we wonder what made Sakshi's fans to spread such fake and insensitive news about another equally popular TV celeb. Is it insecurity or jealousy?
