Rumour has it that Shruti Haasan was supposed do an item number in Simbu's next movie "Idhu Namma Aalu". It was said that the makers had approached the "Puli" actress after the film's lead Nayantara could not do the special number.
However, those reports have now turned out to be false and Shruti Haasan denied the news while speaking to journalist Sridevi. "Reg story on sify @shrutihaasan confirms that she is not a part of @iam_str's #ithunammaaalu #INA", she tweeted.
The makers wanted Nayantara to do the special number in "Idhu Namma Aalu" but it was not something that the actress wished to do. Director Pandiraj also felt that the number was unnecessary in the film.
Even then Nayantara allotted her dates for the song several times, but the makers failed to utilise it. Now, the actress is busy with her other projects and does not have time for the special number.
This created a rift between the makers and Nayantara and it was also said that the makers were blaming the actress for the delay in the shoot and were planning to rope in another actress for the special number. But director Pandiraj, at a recent press meet, clarified that it was not Nayantara's fault as the 31-year old had given dates for the shoot several times.
However, the issue between Nayantara and the makers of "Idhu Namma Aalu" is yet to be sorted out. This is evident as the producer ignored her from the movie promotions as she has not been seen in the audio publicity materials of "Idhu Namma Aalu".
The audio of "Idhu Namma Aalu" will hit the stores on 3 February to coincide with the birthday celebration of Simbu.
