Actress Shruti Haasan's differences with Gautami was rumoured to be the reason behind the split between her father Kamal Hassan and the senior actress, but her spokesperson has brushed aside such rumours.
Soon after Gautami announced her breakup with Kamal Hassan, it was speculated that Shruti Haasan was responsible for the end of the 13-year live-in relationship of the couple. It was reported that Shruti and Gautami were not on good terms and they often had fights with each other for various reasons.
Shruti Haasan is seen with her father Kamal Hassan for the first time in his upcoming directorial venture Sabash Naidu. Akshara Haasan is assisting her father, while Gautami works as costume designer for the film. The problem arose over the Gautami-designed costumes which Shruthi did not like. So they had a big fight on the sets of the movie a few months ago and the makers had to cancel the shoot that day.
Later, Shruti's spokesperson issued a statement to clear the air. The person explained that they are always on good terms and the costumes issue was sorted professionally. When she was asked if she spoke to Gautami after their spat, Shruti had said that she was busy with her shooting and did not have much time to meet people other than her her father and sister Akshara.
Just a day before Gautami's announcement, Shruti Haasan posted a comment after self-realisation on her Twitter handle. This further fuelled the speculation about her responsibility in the split between Kamal and Gautami. She wrote: "It's amazing to feel a change occur within oneself- a realisation a moment and the start of a completely new perspective #introspect #live."
Today, Shruti Haasan's spokesperson has issued a statement to the media denying the rumours about her involvement. "Shruti has never commented on anyone's personal life and their decisions. For her, what matters most is standing by, loving and respecting her family - her parents and her sister, no matter what," read her statement.
It is noteworthy that Shruti was born to actors Kamal Haasan and Sarika Thakur in Chennai and she declined to consider Gautami as her mother. "Why do I call so. I've a mom and she is Sarika. Since my dad finds happy space with her (Gauthami), I've no issues," the actress had said when asked if she called Gautami her mom back in June.
