Four gunment stormed insider the Iranian Parliament on Wednesday, killing multiple people and wounding several others. The gunmen had also taken some people hostage.

3:30 PM IST: Latest reports state that a total of 12 people have been killed in the attacks in Tehran on Wednesday, according to BBC. 

3:15 PM IST: Iran officials have said that they foiled a third terror attack in the Iranian capital.

3:00 PM IST: Attackers entered inside the Parliament dressed as a women.

2:50 PM IST: The Islamic State (ISIS) group claims responsibility for attack, according to AFP reports.

2:00 PM IST: Attacker in parliament blows himself, Fars agency reports.

1: 55 PM IST: At least 5 people have been reported killed in the attacks. The attackers are still insider the Parliament building even after two hours. Hostage situation ensues, according to Tehran bureau chief for the New York Times Thomas Erdbrink.

1:45 PM IST: Tehran prosecutor Abbas Jafari Dolatabadi wearing a bullet proof vest is seen near the parliament.

1:35 PM IST: A journalist with Iran Front Page has claimed that at least 7 people have been killed in the Parliament attack. At least 4 people have reportedly been taken hostage in the upper wing of the parliament building.

1:28 PM IST: Indian Envoy to Iran, Saurabh Kumar, says, "All Indians in Iran are safe".

Iranian Parliament's cultural and public relations director, General Mahdi Kiaie, said security forces and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps are controlling the situation. He added that a public session is underway in the Parliament building.

1:10 PM IST: There has been an explosion on western wing outside Imam Khomeini shrine. 

Mehr News agency has reported that the suicide bomber in Imam Khomeini shrine incident was a woman. 

The suicide bomber blew herself up outside shrine on western yard. One person, a gardner, has been killed in the attack.

1:00 PM IST: FarsNews Agency reported that one of gunmen inside Parliament is a suicide bomber, currently surrounded by security forces.

12:57 PM IST: A third attack is being reported near a metro station in central Iran. More details on the incident are awaited.

12:50 PM IST: There are reports of a second attack in the capital with four gunmen storming the Mausoleum of Ayatollah Khomeini in southern Tehran, at least five people have been reportedly injured in the incident, acooridng to state media reports.

12:45 PM IST: A video of the aftermath of the incident outside the parliament has been released. Tens of people can be seen running out of the Parliament building.

12:30 PM IST: Reports state that one person, a parliament guad, has been killed in the gunfire.

Two people have reportedly been injured in the shooting, gunfire is still on in the building, according to Sputnik news.

"Three attackers inside #Iran 's Parliament; 2 injured so far; fire exchanges continue," the Tasnim news service said on its Twitter account.
