Shooting of 'How Old Are You' Tamil Remake Starring Jyothika Wrapped up [PHOTOS]

The shooting of Jyothika's comeback movie, "How Old Are You", which is the remake of Malayalam hit movie, is wrapped up. The information was shared through Facebook by film's director Rosshan Andrrews, who was also the director of the Malayalam version.

"How Old Are You Tamil Remake Finished," wrote Rosshan on his Facebook page

The movie, which is reportedly yet to be titled, is one of the most awaited films of the year and has been making news since its announcement.

The shooting of the movie had begun in New Delhi by mid-November 2014 and the location stills suggested that the first shots were at the Rashtrapathi Bhavan, where Jyothika is seen meeting the President of India.

The whole shoot was completed in a short span of merely 46 days, which is comparatively less for a Tamil movie. The Tamil version of the movie will have Rahman as the lead opposite Jyothika while Abhirami will play the role of her close friend in the movie. Actor Sanjay Bharathi will also appear in a pivotal role in the movie.

The Malayalam version of "How Old are You" had made headlines when Manju Warrier made a comeback to film industry after a sabbatical of 14 years.

Interestingly, the Tamil version of the movie marks Jyothika's return to limelight after a gap of seven years. Her last released movie was "Manikanda" in 2007.

The story of the movie in Malayalam revolves around Nirupama, who works as a government clerk. She gives no importance to her personal life and devotes her free time to look after her husband and daughter.

However, things change as she is summoned to the IG's office and learns that the President of India wants to meet her. What happens after the meeting forms the crux of the story

The unexpected events in the plot makes Nirupama rethink about her life. The story emphasises on women empowerment and shows how every woman should come out of her restrictions to dreams and reach heights.

The music of the movie is done by Santhosh Narayanan and the reports are that the makers are planning to release the movie around March-April.

The Tamil remake of "How Old Are You" is produced by Jyothika's husband and actor, Suriya, under the banner of 2DEntertainment. Suriya has also bagged the remake rights of the movie in Kannada and Hindi.
