The shooting of "Cousins" starring Kunchacko Boban and Vedhika in the lead has begun in Bangalore. The Vysakh directorial started rolling on 10 August and is touted as a romantic comedy entertainer.
"Cousins" tells the story of the four cousins, Sam, Joji, Pauly and Tony. The story begins when Sam has a memory lapse of six years. The film revolves around the cousins' efforts to find out the reason of his memory loss.
Kunchacko Boban will play the role of Sam, Indrajith will be seen as Joji, Suraj Venjaramoodu plays as Pauly and the character of Tony will played by Joju George. The film also has Meera Nandan in the lead role, who was recently seen in the Suresh Gopi starrer "Apothecary."
Kunchacko and Vysakh have earlier done "Vishudhan" (2013) together, where the actor was seen as a Christian priest, which was well received by critics and audience. Vysakh's earlier directorial entertainers are "Pokkiri Raja" (2010), "Seniors" (2011), "Mallu Singh" (2012) and "Sound Thoma" (2013).
Meanwhile, for Vedhika, "Cousins" is her second Malayalam film after the Dileep starrer "Sringaravelan" (2013), which was directed by Jose Thomas. The actress is now awaiting the release of her Tamil historical fiction film "Kaaviya Thalaivan" directed by Vasanthabalan.
"Cousins" also has Pradeep Rawath, Kalabhavan Shajon, P. Balachandran, Santhosh and Shiju in pivotal roles.
"Cousins" is scripted by Sethu of Sachi-Sethu combination, who has done scripts for "Mallu Singh" (2012), "I Love Me" (2012) and "Salaam Kashmier" (2012).
The film's songs are composed by M. Jayachandran, which are penned by Murukan Kattakada and Rafeek Ahammed.
While the cinematography is done by Vinod Illampally, the art direction is by Joseph Nellickal.
Other than Bangalore, "Cousins" will be shot in Kodaikanal, Pollachi, Athirapally and Kochi. The film is produced by Vysakh Rajan under the banner of Vyshakha Cinemas.
