The shooting of Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth-starrer "2.0" is progressing as per the schedule. The team is currently filming an important portion in New Delhi.
A report on Indiaglitz states that the makers have set the deadline as October for completing the shoots after which the post-production works would begin. This phase is expected to be longer than usual due to high-end CG works.
The "2.0" team has already completed two schedules in Chennai. The makers are now busy filming an action sequence at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi.
The latest schedule would be completed in the next three weeks following which the team will head for Morocco for an extensive schedule.
On Tuesday, March 22, a few working stills from the shooting spot were leaked, which reveal the look of Akshay Kumar in "2.0." Akki will be seen with long eye bushes, grey hair and has donned a feathered leather jacket in the pictures.
In the multilingual movie, Akshay Kumar reportedly plays the role of a scientist named Dr Richard who turns into a crow after his scientific experiment goes wrong.
Talking about Akshay Kumar, Shankar on Twitter wrote, "Happy to shoot with Akshay Kumar - Hard working, disciplined n cooperative actor."
"2.0" is a sequel to Shankar's blockbuster "Endhiran – The Robot." Rajinikanth had played dual roles in the film, which was bankrolled by Sun Pictures. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was the female lead in the flick, which was the biggest South Indian hit of 2010.
The second instalment is produced by Lyca Productions and it is being made with a huge budget of Rs 350 crore. Amy Jackson plays the female lead in the movie, which is simultaneously made in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu.
"2.0" will reportedly hit the screens in April 2017 for Tamil New Year.
